Tres profesores del IES Huelin han realizado un aprendizaje por observación, actividad Erasmus+ COFINANCIADA POR LA UNIÓN EUROPEA, en Pont-Audemer, Normandía, Francia desde el 10 al 19 de octubre.

Los profesores fueron recibidos por sus colegas franceses con una calurosa acogida y llevaron a cabo un plan intenso, pero muy variado e interesante.

En general, han conocido las fortalezas del sistema educativo francés y, en particular, las iniciativas y estrategias más relevantes de dos centros de secundaria: Collége Louise Michel, nuestro principal centro anfitrión, y collége Pierre et Marie Curie, y dos liceos: Lycée Jacques Prévert, donde se organizó un “Erasmus Days” con una feria gastronómica con productos de los países visitados, y Lycée des Métiers Risle-Seine. En estos dos liceos coincidimos con una delegación española del IES Nuestra Señora de Alharilla de Porcuna, Jaén y una húngara del centro Pilotes Szte.

De todo lo observado podemos destacar lo siguiente:

• La clase flexible: con una enseñanza más individualizada, alumnos divididos en grupos de trabajo siguiendo su propio ritmo, con actividades más prácticas, diversas y adaptadas a su nivel curricular y con una decoración más atractiva y confortable para el trabajo.
• La figura del consejero principal de educación (CPE) que se ocupa de los alumnos fuera de las clases y de los asistentes de educación que atienden a los alumnos en las ausencias de los profesores y de apoyar en clase.
• Los mentores de motivación: que llevan a cabo un programa proactivo para mejorar la perseverancia y la motivación de los alumnos y prevenir el absentismo de los alumnos, siguiendo técnicas motivacionales basadas en el programa de Michel Janosz, doctor en ciencias humanas y aplicadas en la universidad de Montreal.
• Instalaciones con más espacios y recursos y con iniciativas ecológicas que parten tanto de los profesores como de los alumnos, a través de los delegados ecológicos de clase.
• En formación profesional: comienzo temprano, 12 años, y más variada de los itinerarios profesionales, mayor número de prácticas y ayudas a las empresas colaboradoras y a los alumnos.

Los profesores españoles también contribuyeron con las siguientes actuaciones: Charo Godoy con la presentación comparativa del sistema educativo español y una receta de paella, Lourdes Belmonte con una clase magistral de español a los alumnos y Emilio Guzmán, coordinador del proyecto Erasmus+, con una guía informativa sobre el proceso de solicitud de la acreditación Erasmus+, ya que nuestro centro anfitrión, Louise Mitchel, solicitará la acreditación Erasmus en la próxima convocatoria.

Finalmente, destacar la relación humana y entrañable con los profesores franceses en reuniones, comidas y visitas culturales, como al museo Memorial de Caen, a Honfleur, pueblo encantador y artístico, Pont-Audemer y Le Havre.

IES HUELIN ERASMUS+ TEAM OBSERVE TEACHING METHODS IN FRANCE

Three teachers from the IES Huelin have carried out a ‘learning by observation’, an Erasmus+ activity CO-FINANCED BY THE EUROPEAN UNION, in Pont-Audemer, Normandy, France from October 10 to 19.

Warmly welcomed by their French colleagues, the IES Huelin teachers completed an intense, varied and interesting schedule of activities during their 10 days of observing the French education system.

The teachers learned about the strengths of the French system in general and about the most relevant initiatives and strategies of four schools in particular: two secondary schools, Collége Louise Michel (who hosted IES Huelin), Collége Pierre et Marie Curie and two high schools, Lycée Jacques Prévert and Lycée des métiers Risle-Seine. At Lycée Jacques Prévert, an ‘Erasmus Days’ event had been organised showcasing a gastronomic fair with products from all the countries visited in the scheme.

The visit of IES Huelin teachers to the high schools also coincided with a Spanish delegation from IES Nuestra Señora de Alharilla de Porcuna, Jaén and a Hungarian delegation from the Pilotes Szte school.

Emilio Guzman (co-ordinator IES Huelin) said: ‘from what we observed, we can highlight a number of aspects such as:

– The flexible class – with more individualised teaching, student work groups who follow their own learning pace, the use of practical and diverse activities tailored to students curricular level within an attractive an comfortable environment.

– The presence of the main Education Counsellor (CPE) – who deals with students outside class and the Education Assistants who work with students in the absence of teachers and help the teachers in class.

– The Motivational Mentors – who use techniques based on the programme of Michel Janosz, (doctor of human and applied sciences at the University of Montreal) aiming to improve the students motivation and perseverance and help prevent school dropouts.

– Facilities – with more spaces and resources and Ecological Initiatives starting with the teachers and students and activated through Ecology Form Captains.

– In professional training – an early start from age 12, more varied professional paths, a greater number of internships and aid to collaborating companies and students’.

The Spanish teachers contributed by giving a comparative presentation of the Spanish Educational System and a paella recipe (Charo Godoy) and a Spanish Master Class for the students (Lourdes Belmonte). Emilio Guzmán gave an informative guide about the application process for Erasmus+ accreditation, since the host center Louise Mitchel, is applying for Erasmus accreditation in the next call.

As a final note, the Spanish teachers highlighted the warm and endearing relationship with their French colleagues in meetings, meals and the cultural visits they enjoyed to the Memorial Museum in Caen, the charming artistic town of Honfleur, Pont-Audemer and Le Havre.

El IES Huelin ha llevado a cabo una actividad Erasmus+ con un grupo de 15 alumnos y 3 profesores desde el 19 al 28 de septiembre, COFINANCIADA POR LA UNIÓN EUROPEA, con su centro socio alemán “BBS am Museumsdorf” en el pueblo de Cloppenburg en la Baja Sajonia. Los alumnos han convivido con sus compañeros alemanes en el instituto, sus casas y en las distintas actividades realizadas.

Los alumnos han asistido a clases, han compartido presentaciones sobre el patrimonio cultural y el sistema educativo de cada país, realizado actividades sobre pensamiento crítico y refranes en diferentes idiomas para conmemorar el Día Europeo de las Lenguas que se celebró el lunes 26 de febrero. También visitaron el pueblo de Oldenburg y su universidad, donde conocieron su oferta educativa y de becas.

El viernes 23 visitaron el museo al aire libre “Museumsdorf”, ubicado en Cloppenburg y asistieron a un taller de escritura antigua. Con más de 250.000 visitantes por año es el pueblo museo más antiguo del país y de los más populares en el norte de Alemania. El museo es un establecimiento de investigación y educación especializado en historia cultural y rural desde la Edad Media hasta los años 50, con más de 50 edificios históricos completamente amueblados que muestran las condiciones de vida, laborales y de vivienda de la población en la Baja Sajonia.

Los alumnos han mejorado algunas competencias académicas y lingüísticas, además de sus habilidades personales, sociales y de inteligencia emocional, como el trabajo en equipo, motivación, convivencia, comunicación, resolución de problemas y de empatía.

IES Huelin has carried out an Erasmus+ activity with a group of 15 students and 3 teachers from 19 to 28 September, CO-FINANCED BY THE EUROPEAN UNION, with its German partner school «BBS am Museumsdorf» in the town of Cloppenburg in the Lower Saxony. The students have lived with their German classmates at the high school, their homes and in the different activities carried out.

The students have attended classes, shared presentations on the cultural heritage and educational system of each country, carried out activities on critical thinking and proverbs in different languages in order ​​to commemorate the European Day of Languages, which was celebrated on Monday, February 26. They also visited the town of Oldenburg and its university, where they learned about its educational and scholarship provision.

On Friday 23rd they visited the open-air museum «Museumsdorf», located in Cloppenburg and attended an ancient writing workshop. With some 250.000 visitors per year it is the oldest museum town in the country and one of the most popular in northern Germany. The museum is a research and educational establishment specialising in cultural and rural history from the Middle Ages to the 1950s, with more than 50 fully furnished historic buildings that show the work, housing and living conditions of the country population in Lower Saxony.

The students have improved some academic and linguistic skills, in addition to their personal, social and emotional intelligence skills, such as teamwork, motivation, coexistence, communication, problem solving and empathy.
